The JCLC Inc. is committed to providing a safe, productive and welcoming environment for all conference participants and JCLC 2026 staff. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, JCLC 2026 staff members, service providers and all others are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct. This Policy applies to all JCLC 2026 conference-related events, including those sponsored by organizations other than the JCLC Inc. but held in conjunction with JCLC 2026 events, on public or private venues and platforms.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As an organization affiliated with the American Library Association (ALA), the JCLC Inc. is strongly committed to diversity, equity and the free expression of ideas. These values have been repeatedly delineated in ALA policy (for instance: Policy A.1.4 \u2013 Core Organizational Values; Policy B.1.1 \u2013 Core Values of Librarianship; Policy B.1.2 \u2013 Code of Professional Ethics). Taken cumulatively, the values and beliefs delineated within ALA policy describe conduct based on a firm belief in the value of civil discourse and the free exploration of competing ideas and concepts \u2013 with a fundamental respect for the rights, dignity and value of all persons.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The JCLC Inc. has zero tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment by participants or our staff at our conferences. If you experience harassment or hear of any incidents of unacceptable behavior, the JCLC Inc. asks that you inform any member of JCLC Inc. Board of Directors or any member of the JCLC 2026 Steering Committee in the JCLC 2026 Conference Office so that we can take appropriate action.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-46ef9e46 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"46ef9e46\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>Unacceptable Behavior is defined as:<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, JCLC 2026 staff member, service provider, or other conference guest. Examples of verbal abuse include, but are not limited to, verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, national origin; inappropriate use of nudity and\/or sexual images in public spaces or in presentations, or threatening or stalking any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, JCLC 2026 staff member, service provider, or other conference guest.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disruption of presentations during sessions, in the Exhibit Hall or other events organized by the JCLC 2026 throughout the Conference. All participants must comply with the instructions of the moderator and any JCLC 2026 event staff.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presentations, postings, and messages containing promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services.
